Experience that Matters

Prior to founding RPCM I spent 10 years as the Communications Director for the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission, a regional planning organization located in Charlottesville, Virginia.  One of my responsibilities during this time was management of ongoing outreach initiatives associated with the planning process.

It became clear early on that having a quality website in place was essential in managing the distribution of information and facilitation of pubic participation.

A comprehensive website containing event calendars, news feed, detailed project pages, and document archive is essential for conducting public outreach while raising awareness and project participation.

Now thirteen years later, I continue to manage outreach efforts for the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission, Charlottesville/Albemarle Metropolitan Planning Organization, and a host of other public organizations.  I utilize the knowledge and experience gained during this time to improve outreach efforts for my newest clients while working to achieve predefined results.
